i have a friend who lives across the river from us. he works at the golf course and does some part-time work doing kitchen flooring, wallpapering, painting, and various and sundry other projects. he was telling me yesterday that he and his buddy were working in a woman's home and were talking about my new cd that i gave him and the woman overheard them.

she said, "did you say scott copeland?"

they replied, "yes, ma'am." and then asked, "do you know him?"

she responded, "yeah, he doesn't like women very much."


i really wanted to address this issue on this post. this has been the fourth or fifth time i've heard a story of this nature and i just wanted to clear it up for you, the loyal scott copeland fan.

i do not hate women. i even like some of them.

it's just that i've dealt with a lot of crazy fucking psycho bitches in my life. i would say substantially more than the average 35 year old man. they have somewhat "tainted" my view of women.

Most women: "That's just like you, scott. turn everything into a filthy porno joke."

Me: "that is totally not true. tainted is an actually word."

Most women: "then why did you have to put quotation marks around it?"

Me: "Okay, i might have been trying to make a pun, but you have to admit that it was pretty fucking funny."

Most women: "Grow up, Scott. just grow up."

Me: "What?"

that is me losing interest.

my only problem with women is that the vast majority of them are insecure, co-dependent, disloyal, selfish, manipulative, coniving, irrational, shit-talking, materialistic, pill addicts.

other than that, i love them.

Most women: "All you care about is sports."

Me: "i apologize for having a love and appreciation for something other than your concerns."

Most women: "whatever."

Me: "i would much rather watch another lifetime movie where a woman is molested, raped, drugged, and forced into prostitution only to come out victorious in the end with the wicked, wicked man locked behind bars for the rest of his miserable life."


i've decided that i'm not going to blog again until at least 25 of you have asked for my opinion on something.
