i watched this show on hbo the other night called "The Yellow Brick Road".
a documentary about a group of mentally handicapped people putting on their own production of "The Wizard of Oz".
if there is anything funnier than a retarded scarecrow singing, "if i only had a brain", i'd like to purchase tickets right now.
i'm going to see "Glory Road" tonight. the story of the 1966 texas western basketball team that won the ncaa championship against adoph rupp's kentucky team. don haskins was texas western's coach and the first coach to start five black men.
five black guys beat five white guys in basketball.
not quite the "miracle" of the 1980 u.s. hockey team.
i'm going anyways.
when i was a kid we used to stay at my mema's and papa's house in the summer for a couple of weeks. she would take us to the matinee every once in a while. i remember we saw "superman 2" once. she used to make sandwiches and sneak them in the theatre with a jug of kool-aid.
i'm gonna sneak a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a half a gallon of milk into the movie tonight in loving memory of Edith Copeland.
doctor please some more of these outside the door she took four more
what a drag it is getting old,
scott
