i want to thank all of you that wished me well on the loss of my grandmother. it was much appreciated. i mean that in all sincerity.
we all knew it was coming so it was not as bad a blow as you might think. she decided to take herself off of life support on friday, so we knew it would be quick. that does not, however, make it anymore easy. she was a wonderful person.
thank you again for your condolences. it really makes me feel special to have such warm readers. i really do love all of you guys.
i know that i blab a lot about meaningless bullshit, but we are all gonna die. what matters most is how we face that fact. my grandmother faced it with the most graceful and sincere dignity that there is, and i hope that we all get that chance one day. so many of us go so quickly and don't get that chance, but she did and for that i am forever grateful.
thank you again for your support and prayers.. it means the world to me.
tonight was a wonderful night at the wreck room and i appreciate all that showed up. it was a blast to me. i didn't mention my grandmother, but i thought about it. i don't think she would have wanted me to, so i didn't. however, she never left my mind. i love you grandmother. god rest your soul.
i have been honored with the priviledge of being a pallbearer at her funeral.
my pappy is the only living grandparent i have left and he has always been my favorite. i wish that all of you get to meet him. i have learned so much from him and it breaks my heart to see him left alone. 60 years of marriage is nothing to sneeze at. he is a wonderful man and i promise to spend as much time as can with him.
i really do love you guys for reading this shit. it means a lot to me. thanks again for the prayers. stay cool everyone. you're the best.
godspeed grandmother,
i'll see you when i get there,
scott
