got up early this morning. heading off to the colonial with my pal, andy pate. phil mickelson tees off at 8:03. we'll probably watch him play nine holes or some shit. i saw phil in a ford truck commercial with toby keith yesterday. that is very depressing. however, i know if phil didn't have a ford truck contract, he wouldn't give toby keith the time of day. toby keith, toby keith, toby keith... fuck. i shouldn't be thinking of that fucker this early in the morning.

i need some sunglasses.

andy's late and it's pissing me off. i got that dillhole a ticket and he can't even show up on time. he better come bearing gifts.

i need to get some dates up on my calendar deal. norman was great this past monday with travis linville and his gang of merry musicians. i wanted to thank tic tac for the hospitality again. it is very appreciated. please let me know if there's anything i can do for you.

travis won't be there next week and asked me to fill in....so, i enlisted the help of the godfather of red dirt, mike mcclure. we'll be songswapping old tunes from the seventies and throwing back beers like there's a hole in our necks. don't miss it. monday, the deli, norman, be there.

it was a very cool and hip crowd there this past time. i appreciate all the compliments. one lady told me that "Nothin to Do" got her through her college finals. i do what i can, lady. i do what i can.

another lady, i think her name was jan, told me that she reads my posts all the time because, and i quote, "it reminds me of a thirteen year old boy in a closet". this has bothered me on a few levels since then.

first, when i was young boy i used to talk to myself in the closet for hours. my family has made fun of me ever since then. sometimes i still have to fight back the urge to spend a little closet quality time with myself. it is very weird that that lady said that. is it that obvious?
