well, i'm off today to the annual HKOAA tax relief weekend party hosted by chris quante. HKOAA stands for the "Hog Killers of America Association". they like to kill wild hogs. it's where i met scott boland and deb walton,...the very first year i went. i've been back ever year since. some of the coolest people i've ever met. i need some refreshing points of view right now. i've been doubting my existence again quite regularly.

what else.....

we finished fourth in the larry joe taylor golf tournament. somewhat of a minor miracle. it's was a blast and larry was a terrific host. it was him, mike mcclure, and keith sykes and me. holy shit.
then i got to see bruce robison and guy clark that night. i was all VIP and shit. it was a great night and it was cool to spend some time with mac again. it's always nice to be around someone a little more bitter than you for a while. mix it up.
thanks to larry joe for the invite and all the free beer. let me play next year. fuck.


as far as the comments list goes.....

anyone who gave a top five movie list with a country and western singer and did not mention "Sling Blade" is a fucking moron and should probably consider not voicing your opinion on anything ever again. i just saw "Daddy and them" with billy bob thornton, john prine, and andy griffith. it was fucking great. it would definitely be on my list.
