good morning congregation.....

i'm glad you all made it to church again. this is my favorite day to blog. and all the people say amen.....

and on the seventh day God rested, and had a big ass super bowl cookout and drank margaritas with the angels.

there has been a change in my super bowl prediction. my friend chance wanted to bet on the patriots so bad that i decided that i would take the panthers plus eight points just to make him happy. so my new final score prediction is:

Patriots 20
Panthers 17

we have a case of beer bet. how can i lose?

getting back to my sunday preaching, i would like to touch on a subject that i've mentioned before.........the concept of hell.

i have stated previously that i don't believe in hell or the devil and i am sticking with that opinion, but just for argument's sake.....let's say there is a hell.

i would hope that i would get to go to hell just so i don't have to hang around all the people that say they are going to heaven. what a drag of a party that would be.
Hallelujah.

Isn't it funny that the right wing conservative politicians are the ones that call themselves Christians? yeah, i'm sure Jesus was republican. he was totally against welfare and for tax breaks for the rich and the trickle down economic theory. he was also for gigantic spending on defense and nuclear weapons testing and of course in favor of the death penalty. yep. there's a new song i'm gonna write.......Jesus was a Conservative.
Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

well, yesterday i reclaimed what was rightfully mine and brought home the Copeland family golf championship. i beat my brother by one shot on the final hole with a sidehill eight foot par putt. i'm clutch. just like phil mickelson. which reminds me, let's all bow our heads to pray........

"Dear God, i want to thank you for bringing a victory to phil mickelson last week, and if it's not too much too ask, would you allow him two in a row. he's one shot behind and i'm sure with you on his side he can pull it off. i can see your magnificence in his newfound ability to hit fairways with his driver and i pray that you might allow him to even win his first major this year. also, please allow the panthers to cover an eight point spread tonight in the super bowl. i promise to share my case of beer with those less fortunate if i win. in your heavenly name i pray........Amen."

moving along to some scottcopeland church business.....

i'm sorry that i haven't post any new show dates. i don't have hardly anything in february and march and april are starting to fill up. i will get those posted as soon as my webguy gets off vacation. we are also gonna put up some live recordings for you to download from the wreckroom and other various establishments. i hope you all enjoy them for free. i have several other ideas for the website that i will be implementing in the next few months. it should be really cool. how could it not be?.....i thought of it.

and finally, i promise to get a movie review up on mcclure's site this week. or maybe next week. whatever.
