it's about 10:30 on monday morning and i've already seen "the Practice" rerun on Fx. i hate it when that happens. it's fucking kinda cold and i have on my sweattop and long pajamas just kicking it like i always do. got some steve earle on. it's been a while since i've put him in there. i dig his shit a lot, but it gets on my nerves after a while.

well, it seems that my patriots prediction was a winner once again. that makes me 4-1 against the spread. i can always pick winners when i don't bet on them. if i do, though, you can chalk it up as a big fat loser. sometimes i wonder if any of you are actually taking me up on my predictions. if you are, then you are making money off me. share the wealth is what i always say.

i spoke to scott boland this weekend and he will not be able to make it up here until the 6th. he was gonna play a gig with me in granbury, but it seems i will be alone. he will play the rest of the gigs with me in november and be in the studio on the 17th. i'm getting excited about it and i hope everything goes smoothly. i'm kinda second guessing myself on some of the song selections, but i sort of like to have a little doubt when i go in the studio. it leaves room for some creative moments. anyway, with the all-star cast i'm gonna have surrounding me, it can't not be fun.

king bignoggan has been asked a few questions via email and he will respond to both of them.

all rise.

the first question is from kimberly and she asked what female singer songwriters i like.

"it is known throughout the kingdom that i do not like women songwriters as much as men, but that is for one simple reason. men are better writers and they always have been, not to mention that women can't rock and roll and you all know this. with that being said, i will list my top five favorite women singer songwriters of all-time.

1. Sheryl Crow
2. Lucinda Williams
3. Bonnie Raitt
4. Emmylou Harris
5. Chrissie Hynde

for the second question from jason, he asked for my thoughts on john lennon.

i believe i have touched on john lennon before in previous posts, but i will say a little more about it. john lennon is my favorite beatle and probably in my top ten favorite songwriters of all-time. he had balls and was feared by the government. i respect that more than anything. i do, however, hate yoko ono and i cannot for the life of me figure out what he saw in that fucking bitch. if mark david chapman would have shot her instead, he would probably be a national hero. if any of you get the chance, read "The Lives of John Lennon". it is a great bio and has some awesome stories in there. i have a huge poster of john lennon in the den where i do most of my writing that says "imagine" on it. it's pretty fucking cool. anyway, i guess that about does it for john. thanks for the questions.

you may sit. the omnipotent king bignoggan has spoken.

i feel weird today. i don't know why. there's something in the cosmos. i feel a lot of anxiety coming on. it's too early to drink beer, and that's how i usually knock out anxiety. pound down about 4 beers in fifteen minutes,.......nervous tension gone. that is straight from doctor vinny, himself.

"i feel sorry for people who don't drink, because when they get up in the morning that is as good as they are gonna feel all day".............-Frank Sinatra

alright people. i'm gonna go be cool.

"with a song in my heart
and an attitude from the start
i took everybody apart to see how they worked."

classic steve earle.

until next time.

get naked and eat chili,

scott
