long time no write and shit.

not much going on here. i'm just listening to some 'counting crows'. one of the most underrated band of the last twenty years.

my brother played in the texas state open golf qualifier on monday and i caddied for him. he didn't quite make it but i was very proud of him for his first tournament ever. he made a very respectable showing. i could have done better though.

i had a great time out at city limits in stephenville last wednesday and i would like to thank heath for having me again. it was a blast. also thanks to casey, billy, alex, carla, melissa, kiley, paul and everyone else for hanging out. it was cool of you and i hope you had a good time. i hope to see you all at the independence day jam. it should be fun.

well, i thought i would give you all a list of some of my all-time heroes. i know you want to know so you can better understand where i'm coming from. also, there will be an essay contest where the winner will win a hundred dollars and an afternoon with me. yeah dude. the essay should be titled ' The Similarites and Differences in all of the Heroes of Scott Copeland' and should be at least 500 words and turned in by august 14th. it can be turned in by emailing me at bignoggan@yahoo.com. i will be the sole judge. i instruct all of you to read everything about all of the following people and to listen to everything they have ever said and everything ever said about them and to write a well-thought out essay. spelling and punctuation will only count if i can't fucking read it properly. alright then, here they are.

author - mark twain
poet - charles bukowski
songwriter - bob dylan (of course)
athlete - jack nicklaus
comedian - bill hicks
actor - jack nicholson
statesman - thomas jefferson
spiritual advisor - willie nelson

okay, that is all. i wish all of you luck. get to work.

i don't have much more to say. my back hurts.

lick it,

scott
