alright alright alright.
Just sitting at my computer on a tuesday morning with a cigarette dangling from my lips and a bottle of ozarka close at hand. I go through about six bottles a day. Somehow it makes me feel like I can go ahead and destroy my body in other ways as long as i pour a lot of natural spring water on top of it to dilute to negative effects. Just another method of self brainwashing i adhere to.

My gig at Chub's went well considering no one showed up. I really think i kicked ass. If there would have been people there they really would have dug it. I made tens and tens of dollars and spent some of it on two chili dogs with cheese and onions that some brilliant college guy was peddling on the strip at 2:00 in the morning. Entrepreneurship at it's finest. He must be a business major or something. I think next time i'm there i'm gonna take a case of weiners from Sam's and some buns and big bottle of French's Mustard and lowball that dude and run him out of town. Play a gig, sell some dogs, and come home with a fat sack of cash. I could even sell my cd's out of the hot dog stand. Yeah dude, two chili dogs and a cd for ten bucks. I can see it now.

Anyway, It was good to see some old friends while i was there. Kevin Miller sat in and banged on some bongos with me. He had to be at work at 7:30 in Okc and he stayed all night. That my friends, is dedication. Of course he had to stay because his blow and go on his car wouldn't start, but that in no way takes away from his dedication to his craft. I got to see the boys from No Justice who i hear got a new record coming out soon. They said it was really bad ass but i'm gonna be the judge of that when i hear it. They rocked the place out at the Wormy Dog and were nice enough to watch some of my show until jerry got to drunk to drink anymore. Thanks to Steve Rice for hanging around and playing a few songs for me. In all seriousness, check out their new cd when it comes out. i'm sure it's great. Got to chat with Gambrell and Ragan for a while which is always interesting. I think we talked about what a huge party they had when they celebrated the first year of A.D. "Tonight we're gonna party like it's 0000."

Came back home on friday and actually had a great gig at the Seventh Haven. I don't know what happened but people actually bought shit and told me i was good. I'm looking forward to going back next month.

Saturday i went camping in the Arbuckles with my good friends Andy Pate and Todd Brown. He has a pretty cool place up there and we sat around the campfire and played some tunes and ate red meat. I met some pretty funny dudes and some dudes who thought they were funny. i.e. Mike Williams. let's see, there was Rocky, B.J., Jay, and two dudes who showed up at about midnight and never said a word and left at 7 in the morning. i'm sure there was others but i feel pretty good about remembering that. No one seemed to agree with my theory that Wal-Mart is trying to take over the world. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because they were all from Ada, Ok. but they insisted on showing their small-mindedness with every word out of their mouths. Some people are just like that i guess. They all had to leave at noon or so because they wanted to catch the matinee of "Spiderman" which just recently came to the Ada Theatre.

No, I really had fun with them and i hope they'll let me come back some time. please don't kick my ass.

Well, i'll get back with everyone if something cool or really uncool happens. Until then, here is your thought for the day.

"If you don't love yourself, you might as well do us all a favor."

uh-huh,
